And … we’re back

A brief note here to acknowledge that this site has been mostly dormant for a couple years there while I worked a full-time-and-more job.

My time at Grist was happy indeed — but splitting my life between Seattle and the Bay Area finally became too much to handle. So as of the end of last month, I’ve stepped down from my job as executive editor, though I continue to work part time editing some great writers there.

What am I up to? Not quite ready to hang up that “Internet pioneer” hat. Hatching some new plans. They will probably involve this space. More soon — and whatever happens, more writing here!
