		<description>Not a stock geek myself but doesn't the jump after the backup was in place actually show the correcting behavior of the markets? Till then,  the traders were selling mainly because they felt that the market was in for a price correction. The fact that the reported figures did not reflect the actual ones forced the traders to sell more than what they would have.

When the backup was in place, the traders realized that the value was at par with what they were willing to hold on to and hence they stopped selling.

Of course I might just be rambling :)</description>
