What is more pertinent in Seattle than Microsoft? Achieving the Millennium Development Goals. The Millennium Development Goals focus on ending global poverty, equal rights, and primary education among other basic human rights that are being ignored througout the world. According to the Borgen Project, a local Seattle nonprofit, it would only cost $19 billion dollars annually to cut global poverty in half by 2015 and put an end to it by 2025. I think our government could afford that, let alone Microsoft.
